One night two years ago I had a dream of a king, the wealthiest king of that land and he had two sons. One of the sons loved his dad so much that all he wanted to do is be with him. They would talk, laugh, and have such a good time being with each other. If the king heard that the son wanted anything, he gladly gave it to him because of their fellowship with each other. The king would say to him,” Do you want anything else son"? He said no, not really, I just like being with you dad. When the Son left his presence, the King would make it his point to find out his son's desires so he could fulfill them.
Now the other son came to his Father. The king smiled and said, "Hello son, I have not seen you for a while, how are you doing"? The son said, "Dad I don't have time for all the talking, I’m here because I need one million dollars. I am your son and have a right to some of my inheritance, right? I am entitled to my stuff, right? The king said, "Yes you are, but do you ever have time for me"? The son said, “No, not today, I just need my money and we will talk later". The king replied,” You are my son and entitled to the money so here it is". The attitude of that son made the king sad and a tear fell from the king's eye. When I woke, the Holy Spirit said to me...WHICH SON ARE YOU? God hides the 'TRUTH' in dreams, stories, illustrations and parables so you can "come to yourself". They tell you what you need to hear and show you what you need to see- accessing your soul without you knowing it We all need the heart of the first son as we say to God, "God I want more of You because no one else can satisfy me but You. Nothing compares to You. Lord I want to be in your "Presence", not just to receive your "Presents". If I have The "Giver", which is You alone, I will have your "Gifts". Why would you settle for just "Provision" when you can have "the Provider of the Provision"?
David revealed the secret to his "Provision" in Psalms 27:4 (ONE THING that I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that "I may Dwell in the house of the Lord" all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple).
Notice carefully David Said "ONE THING" he desired; not two, three or several things that he desired. David realized if he would hang out with God, HE would fulfill everything else that he needed.
Psalms 23:6 (surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and "I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever".)
The second part of psalms 23:6 that says,"I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever", can also be said---- BECAUSE I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" David shows us in the whole 23rd chapter of Psalms his "Pathway to Provision"
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"- the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"- He makes me to lie down in green pastures and leads me beside the still waters.
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"-He restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness for His names sake.
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"- I may walk through the valley of the shadow of death and I will fear no evil; for You are with me and Your rod and staff comfort me.
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"-You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies and anoint my head with oil.
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"- My cup runs over.
"BECAUSE I dwell in the house of the Lord forever"- Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
Every need will be supplied, every problem will be solved, and everything we need is in "God's House", because in God's House-- THERE IS NO LACK!
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. (Matthew 6:33)
Has anyone said something negative to you about a close friend and you said to yourself, "I know that's not true because that's not my friend’s character". When you dwell with God and make it your objective to make Him your best friend, you will learn His character, then there will be nothing the devil can ever say to you that will make you believe other than what God said personally to you. (Rhema) The first part of Psalms 91 says- "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the MOST HIGH…” If you dwell in the secret place of the El Elyon God, you will begin to see things as God sees them. You will begin to look in His eyes for yourself and realize -"God, you’re not a man that will or can lie, and every promise You told me WILL come to pass. GOD, I TRUST YOU! Your "Pathway to Provision" comes from trusting and knowing that ‘God is your Provider’. How can you trust and believe in someone that you do not know personally? How can you have Faith in God if you only know "about" Him, but do not know Him for yourself. "Relationship builds Faith". Remember what David said- "One thing have I desired". God proved Himself to David over and over again. From the field of a sheepherder, talking with God under the star lit sky, to the palace of a king, worshiping God in the sanctuary: David discovered in life that "Dwelling with God" was truly his "ONE DESIRE". Because of his "ONE DESIRE", David followed God on the "Pathway to Provision". Reflecting on the life of David shows that God wants the same pathway for us. What He does for one, He will do for another. I am reminded of a hymn that says- "…and He WALKS with me, and He TALKS with me, and He TELLS me I am his own, and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known". Begin today on your "Pathway to Provision".

98 Cent Switch
In a certain hardware store there were boxes and boxes, thousands of electrical switches. These 98 cent switches all were made for the same purpose, to let current or electrical power flow through them either to turn on a light, a ceiling fan, or whatever the would be owner decided to use them for. One day the switches were talking, all awaiting and excited, anticipating their big day to be purchased and function in what they were created to do. A couple of hours later, one of the 98 cent switches was purchased. The joyful switch was filled with great hopes of his future. The owners used this switch to turn on all of the lights in the biggest, most used room in their home- the Den.
As time progressed, this 98 cent switch became very big in his own eyes and thought to himself, "I turn on the most important lights in the home, and all of the other switches in this house are only closet switches, bathroom switches and the least of all--a garbage disposal switch"! "I must be more valuable than all the other 98 cent switches in this whole house, without me, there wouldn’t be light in this whole room", even more, the power could not flow "without me. As a matter of fact, the power needs me!!
How silly does this 98 cent switch sound?
Sometimes in our own lives we can start thinking more highly of ourselves, feeling prideful and arrogant that God is using us, forgetting that we are just another "98 cent switch" among others. We are bought with a price, chosen to release God's glory in the earth, a Royal Priesthood in his kingdom, but at the same time "humility" reminds us that without Jesus,-- we are just another 98 cent switch.
